What a depressing weekend for a diehard SD sports fan. Norv is getting the hate and rightfully so. Marty was one of the best coaches in the history of the league and it's sad that only now is he appreciated. Heard him crying on the radio this week when asked about the team. But despite Norv, Phillip Rivers has regressed to the point where there aren't many worse QBs in the league. Damon Huard looked like John Elway comared to Rivers. Even last yr when we were 14-2, I thought we were winning despite him. Rivers REALLY sucks, and the Chargers are married to him thanks to AJ and his giant ego. Gonna be a long yr (and possibly few yrs)
Spanos family are worse than the Bidwells. Worst owners in sports. Didn't learn from Ross/Beathard fight. Marty shouldve stayed. But Rivers would still suck so i guess it wouldn't really matter

Smith is a solid scout and drafter.
He is a fool when it comes to selecting a HC. Deano crapped his pants and sided with his ace GM...just like Daddy did years ago...
Do not forget though...Brees had his best year in the NFL after they drafted Rivers...Schotty coached Rivers in the Senior Bowl(or whatever game that was) and liked the kid.
I think Alex and Deano are happy however...that at least they are getting their asses kicked in those nice new uni's.
